Ireland has been marked as a high-risk area for Germany as of the 21st November.
This means that aside from the pre-existing rule of all arrivals to Germany required proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a recent negative PCR test, travellers will also need to complete the German Government's digital pre-registration form.
Travellers must also upload their proof of vaccination, recovery or the result of the negative test to the platform.
Those who travel based on a test result, even if negative, must spend ten days in quarantine upon arrival, which can be terminated after five days with another negative PCR test.
Children aged under 12 must quarantine for five days after arrival.
