Because the tasks are so varied, you can learn something new every day. I especially liked how I was involved in all topics and how my ideas were always accepted. The positive working environment in the department made it even more enjoyable to set up and develop the projects. During the internship, I was able to learn a lot both professionally and personally, which will undoubtedly help me in the future. Thank you so much to Jutta and Conny for making this wonderful experience possible for me!" Sonja Wiehl, HR & Communications Trainee - 09/2021 – 01/2022

Pawel Pekarev, Marketing Trainee

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone. You were wonderful co-workers who made me feel welcome and appreciated from the start. A special thanks, however, goes to the marketing team. Thank you for your unwavering trust, David and Frank, and for your constant encouragement to improve. I am grateful for the time we spent together as well as the lessons I learned along the way. I joined the Chamber with the intention of fostering relationships between institutions and the people who work in those institutions, and I believe I can proudly say that I have consistently assisted in doing so. I will remember my time in Ireland as one of the most enjoyable and exciting times of my life, and the people here played a big part in that." Pawel Pekarev, Marketing Trainee - 01/2022 – 07/2022

Leon Suttrop, HR & Communications Trainee

"All beginnings are difficult and working in an office for the first time without any professional experience was a huge challenge for me. But, with the constant support of everyone in the chamber, I was able to quickly settle into my role and use my skills to help everyone in the chamber. I learned a lot about myself and was able to grow tremendously as a result of the excellent communication in our office. Because of the continuous feedback from my colleagues, the requirements were always clear to me, and the tasks and projects could be completed well and in a structured manner. The working environment was always pleasant, and the team spirit was strengthened by various events held outside of working hours. I will never forget my time in Ireland and will always remember everything I experienced and learned." Leon Suttrop, HR & Communications Trainee - 02/2022 – 06/2022

Maximilian Hamacher, Tax & Legal Trainee

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the AHK! All of my co-workers were extremely pleasant, and there was a pleasant atmosphere in the office. The work itself was interesting, particularly the work with various customers/enterprises and in various fields, both in Ireland and in Germany." Maximilian Hamacher, Tax & Legal Trainee - 01/2022 – 04/2022

Pia Sophie Werner, HR & Communications Trainee

"From June to mid-September 2021, I decided to make the most of my summer break before beginning my final year of studies. My three and a half month stint at the Chamber was an incredible experience that perfectly prepared me for both my future studies and my professional future. Most importantly, I was able to work in the Human Resources and Communications departments, which not only made me enjoy coming to work every day, but also pushed me in the best way possible. Being a part of the chamber team during and after work hours has fostered an atmosphere of trust, commitment, and joy. Furthermore, I have thoroughly enjoyed my tasks and work. I had the privilege of participating in the Erasmus student exchange program, which is still active today. To sum up, I can only say that another visit and work in Dublin is on the cards for me." Pia Sophie Werner, HR & Communications Trainee

Katharina Bauer, HR & Communications Trainee

"First and foremost, I would like to thank the whole AHK staff for their warm welcome to the team. Especially, the girls from the HR and Communications department had to be thanked for their support and unwavering trust in me. Since the day we had contact, I felt like a member of the Chamber. The HR & Communications department, in which I did my internship, always tried to assign me exciting tasks. In this context, I had also the chance to assist in the organization of several events as well as team-building activities. The stay abroad was an excellent experience and contributed positively to my personal and professional growth. I would choose to do an internship at AHK Ireland again at any time. Thanks again for the great moments and laughs we shared. I couldn't have wished for a better internship abroad and as I always said, it is not a goodbye, it is a see you soon." Katharina Bauer, HR & Communications Trainee - 06/2022 – 09/2022

Nicklas Reiß, Communications & Public Affairs Trainee

"I've been working in the field of communications and public affairs for three months. Many tasks will be assigned to you in this section of the AHK Ireland, which will give you a good start in a variety of fields. So, for example, I was responsible for the organization, planning, and preparation of Working Group Meetings. I was also assigned tasks like creating invoices and conducting research on the AHK's 500+ partners. I also took on tasks in the field of social media, such as creating posts and supervising the filming of a commercial during a trade mission. I was given a great deal of responsibility, but I was never left alone when I needed help. It's a fantastic team, and I strongly advise anyone who wants to learn something new while also exploring a beautiful country to apply to the German-Irish Foreign Trade Chamber." Nicklas Reiß, Communications & Public Affairs Trainee - 08/2022 – 10/2022
