We open doors: do business remotely with our Smart Glasses service
Using technology to fulfil your business needs. Partnerships between multi-location companies are hampered due to Covid-19. But even beyond the current restrictions, the logistical planning it takes to visit companies abroad is time consuming and costly. Our new Smart Remote-Working service uses Smart Glass technology to form a cheap and easy solution to these problems.
What are Smart Glasses?
Smart Glasses get their name from the way they are worn- like glasses! The wearer of these glasses can share what they see with others in remote locations through the built-in camera in the device. One of the biggest benefits of this technology is that it is not-intrusive: the wearer can carry out tasks and walk around freely- no longer restricted to the four walls of the computer screen. The glasses are equipped with a high-definition camera, powerful audio, and unmatched noise cancellation capabilities.
What is the Service?
An AHK employee equipped with Smart Glasses carries out a live streaming customised service, depending on the client's needs, which allows real-time communication and interaction between companies. For example, the glasses can be used for:
- Emergency technical support
- Factory tours
- Step-by-step guidance for product assembly
- Trade fair visits
- Remote training
- Hands-free maintenance
- Technical inspections
- Health and safety checks
If you would rather use the glasses yourself, you can rent them from the Chamber at a competitive price.
What are the advantages of Smart Glasses?
- No travel necessary
- Reduced costs
- Access to real-time information
- Reduced quality defects
- Increased productivity
Case Study Factory Tour
- The challenge: Company X which is headquartered in Germany, is looking to expand its business abroad through a partnership with a local Irish company. Before formalising this partnership, the German counterpart wants to visit the Irish factory; nevertheless, this is not possible due to the Covid-19 travel-related restrictions.
- The solution: The AHK Ireland conducts a factory tour for Company X. During the factory tour, German counterparts can see everything in real-time that the AHK employee sees. German and Irish parties can also interact with each other through a Teams meeting.
- The results:
- Eliminated travel and housing costs
- Overcame pandemic’s travel restriction challenges
- Streamlined information accessibility and collaboration
- Improved collaboration of multiple teams
